Robert Cowen is a former Reader in Comparative Education and is now a Professor Emeritus in the University of London Institute of Education, and a Senior Research Fellow in the Department of Education in the University of Oxford. His most recent major publication — with his co-editor Andreas Kazamias — is the International Handbook of Comparative Education (Springer, 2009).
