Silvano Cincotti is professor at the Department of Biophysical and Electronic Engineering, University of Genoa. He graduated in Electronic Engineering (summa cum laude) at the University of Genoa in 1990. From 1990 to 1993 he was a Ph.D. student at the Politecnico di Milano. He was awarded a Ph.D. (Dottorato di Ricerca) in Bioengineering in 1994. In 1992 he was visiting researcher at the Max-Planck-Institut fuer Polymerforschung of Mainz, Germany. From 1993 to 1998 he was assistan professor at the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, University of Cagliari. From 1998 to 2004 he was associate professor at the Department of Biophysical and Electronic Engineering, University of Genoa.
