Joseph John Feeney, SJ, a Hopkins scholar, holds a doctorate from the University of Pennsylvania and is Professor of English at Saint Joseph’s University in Philadelphia. He has written The Playfulness of Gerard Manley Hopkins (2008), co-edited Hopkins Variations (2002), is Co-Editor of The Hopkins Quarterly (1994-present), and has published 80 articles and given 86 lectures on Hopkins in Europe, America, and Asia. He also writes about English, Irish, and American novelists and dramatists.
