Paola Clara Leotta
Paola Clara Leotta, PhD in English and Anglo-American Studies, is an Associate Professor of English Linguistics at the University of Catania. She has published in several fields of English Linguistics: New English(es), focusing on the sociolinguistic study of Indian English; English for Academic Purposes through Neuro-Linguistic Programming and Flipped Classroom Methodology; Early-language acquisition and bilingualism; Translation Studies. Her recent research focuses on training prospective English teachers in the intercultural classroom and the position of English in the passage from a foreign language to both a medium of instruction and a Lingua Franca in Academia.
