Bram van Leer has shaped and led the field of Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) for four decades.The numerical techniques he has developed are used across all disciplines of science and engineering that require the analysis of fluid flow, in particular, aerospace engineering. He has been an educator of aerospace engineering for the past 26 years at the University of Michigan and has recently retired .
