Member of the Expert commission on European Constitutional Law for the Protection of the Member States, Berlin (Bundesfinanzministerium) 2008. In 2009, I was also a member of an expert group appointed by the EU Commission and organised by the Instituto de Derecho Europeo in Barcelona that investigated the legislation on national consular protection in the EU Member States. Working as an expert in 2010 for the Swedish Ministry of Finance concerning the constitutional status of the island of Gotland in the Baltic Sea (SOU 2010:94). Expert evaluator for the EU Commission in 2011, concerning the 7th Framework Programme, Theme 8, “Rule of Law and Justice in a Multilevel Governance System”.Contributor to two legal encyclopedias, Sachwörterbuch Der Europäischen Union, Kroner Verlag, Stuttgart 1992 (with an article on the Nordic Council of Ministers) and Constitutions of the Countries of the World, Oceana Publications, Dobbs Ferry N.Y. 1996 and 2001 with an update on the Swedish constitutional development since 1982. In 2006 also contributing on Sweden to G. Robbers (ed.), Encyclopedia of World’s Constitutions (Trier/New York) and a new edition of Constitutions of the Countries of the World, published through Max Planck Institut für ausländisches öffentliches Recht und Völkerrecht, Heidelberg, Germany, writing on Denmark, Finland and Sweden. Scientifical coordinator, Scandinavian Studies in Law vol. 52, Constitutional Law. Constitutions, Stockholm 2007 (408 pages). At the moment also working for two other similar projects, Enzuklopädie des Europarechts (Nomos Verlag, Baden-Baden) and Handbuch der Grundrechte (C.F. Müller Verlag, Heidelberg).Was the main organiser of conferences on General Principles of European Community Law, Malmö 1999 (with the Swedish Network for European Law Research) and on Nordic and other European Constitutional Traditions in Örebro in 2004. Contributed during the spring of 2007 in organising conferences on The General Principles of European Community in a Process of Development, Stockholm 23-24 March 2007and New Dynamics in Comparative Law, Örebro 23-24 May 2007, all with large international audiences, the proceedings of which have all been published internationally. Was also responsible, at the Faculty of Law, University of Lund, for organising seminars with Central and Eastern Europe (in particular Czech Republic and Poland) in 1991-96 and 1998-2001, which resulted in a number of publications (e.g. K. Palecki/A. Peczenik (eds.), Legal Research in Dynamic Society – A Polish-Swedish Research Project, Krakow 2000). Recently, was also organising a conference on Human Rights in a European Legal Context at the University of Örebro in October 2011 (together with the Swedish Network for European Legal Studies). The contributions from this conference will be published in the end of 2013.
