Elisa Palazzo is a registered Architect/Urban Planner with a PhD in Urban Design, Regional and Environmental Planning.
Contract Professor at the Universities of Florence and Pisa, Italy (2006/2010), she has been Visiting Professor and Research Fellow at the School of Architecture and at the Graduate School of Landscape Architecture of Tsinghua University, Beijing, P.R.C. (2012/2013), until she moved as Senior Lecturer to the School of Architecture & Built Environment at the University of Adelaide .
As UNDP/UNESCO International Consultant she has been the Scientific Coordinator of the Bethlehem Area and Conservation Management Plan in the occupied Palestinian territories, from 2007 to 2010.
She is the co-founder and Principal Architect of studiostudio architettiurbanisti, a Swiss-Italian architecture and planning office founded in Florence.
In the role of Chief Architect she was involved in several architectural, urban design and landscape projects, in Europe, Middle East and P.R.C.
Her main research and design works are related to: landscape architecture and landscape urbanism, urban rehabilitation and regeneration, urban heritage and cultural landscapes, agricultural urbanism.
