Bruno is a Registered Architect (member since 1997 of the Architects, Urban Planners and Landscape Architects Association of Florence, Italy) with a PhD in Urban Design, Regional and Environmental Planning (University of Florence, 2006). He is a founding partner of the Swiss-Italian design and planning office studiostudio architettiurbanisti, which deals with social housing, urban regeneration and public space design. His works received many awards in the field of eco-efficiency and public space such as the 2014 Florence Territory Architecture Award (1st prize), the Innovation and Urban Quality Award (2nd prize in 2014; Design for All Special Prize in 2013), the 2012 IFLA Asia Pacific Region Awards for Landscape Architecture (1st prize), the 1st Urban Public Space Biennial in Rome, the Landscape Architecture Lenné Prize by the Land Berlin (1st prize) and his projects were published in several magazines. UNESCO consultant, he worked in Palestine to the Bethlehem Area Conservation and Management Plan. He has been a Contract Professor at the Faculty of Architecture of Florence and involved in researching at the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation of Lisbon and the Urban Planning Department of Florence; currently he is Tutorial Coordinator at the postgraduate course at the School of Architecture & Built Environment of the Adelaide University.
