Alberto Fragio earned his PhD in Philosophy from the Universidad Autonoma of Madrid. He has been working on the uses and transfers of categories, objects and metaphors from the physical sciences to experimental psychology during the second half of the nineteenth century, especially in relation to contemporary historical epistemology and Hans Blumenberg’s metaphorology. In the last years he has focused his interest on Blumenberg’s oeuvre. From 2007 he has undertaken a specific research project on Blumenberg’s history and philosophy of science with the support of Scuola Internazionale di Alti Studi, Fondazione Collegio San Carlo di Modena (Italy) and the Research Group of Historical Epistemology and History of Emotions at Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Científicas (Spain).
