Marco Panza
Marco Panza is First Class Researches Director at the CNRS in History and Philosophy of Sciences, Institut d’Histoire et de Philosophie des Sciences et des Techniques, UMR 8590 of the CNRS and the Université of Paris 1 and ENS Paris. He had a Degree in Philosophy, University of Milan in 1983; a DEA (Master) in History of Sciences, Paris, EHESS, in 1986 and his PhD in Philosophy of Sciences (Philosophy of Mathematics) at the University of Genoa in 1990; a HDR, Paris, EHESS in 2000. He is Chargé, then Directeur de Recherche at the CNRS from 2002. Former Assistant at the University of Geneva; Maître de Conférence at the University of Nantes; Professor at the UNAM, Mexico City and Research Professor at ICREA (Barcelona). His studies are mainly devoted to History and Philosophy of Science, to History and Philosophy of Mathematics and to Epistemology.
