Associate Professor at the University of Brasilia, Brazil. Doctor in Communication and Semiotics (Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo, Brazil) and Master in Fine Arts (Pratt Institute, New York, USA). She has recently conducted a postdoctoral research at the Amsterdam School for Cultural Analysis (ASCA) at the Universiteit van Amsterdam, The Netherlands. For this project, she has been awarded a grant for Visiting Scholars from the Brazilian Ministry of Education/Capes, for a period of one year. As an art historian and semiotician, her academic career combines the development of institutional and individual research projects, as well as participating in Brazilian and international scientific societies and associations of professionals in the fields of art and semiotics. Founder and coordinator to the Research Group Modernism and Utopian Discourses. In 2013, she has been appointed Curator and Coordinator of the Exhibition Spaces of the Casa da Cultura da América Latina [House of Latin American Culture] at the University of Brasilia.
