Paolo Peverini

Paolo Peverini is a senior lecturer (National Scientific Qualification as Associate Professor) at Luiss Guido Carli University of Rome, Department of Business and Management where he is also deputy Director of “X–ITE. Research Center on Behavior and Technology. His work has been published in several top academic journals. His recent publications include: Social guerrilla. Semiotica della comunicazione non convenzionale (2014); “Remix Practices and Activism: A Semiotic Analysisof Creative Dissent” (2014), in Navas E., Gallagher O., Burrough X., (eds.) Routledge Companion to Remix Studies; “Rethinking the intersection between social networks, urban territories and everyday life practices. A critical approach to the spreading of hashtags in urban storytelling” (2017), in the Proceedings of 12th World Congress of Semiotics. As a visiting professor, he gave lectures at the Centro de Pesquisas Sociossemióticas (Pontifícia Universidade Católica de São Paulo), at the University Tuiuti do Paraná of Curitiba, at the Escola Superior de Propaganda e Marketing of São Paulo and at the Pontifícia Universidade Católica de Rio de Janeiro. He’s a member of Lars–Laboratorio Romano di Semiotica.
