Michele Infante
Michele Infante, professor in “Information and Communication Theory” at the University of Macerata, has been Visiting Scholar at the New School for Social Research New York, USA (a.y. 2006/2007), and Visiting Reseacher at Medientheorien Humboldt Universität of Berlin, Germany (a.y. 2008/2009). He has thought Media, Culture and Society and Digital Media Culture at the John Cabot University in Rome. From 2009 he is adjunct professor of Communication at the Link Campus University. He has been post-doctoral fellow at the University of Naples Suor Orsola Benincansa, where he currently teaches Corporate Communication and he works in the fellowship program on Digital Methodologies and Technique for Social Science and Humanities at the University Research Center Scienza Nuova. He is director of the books’ series Social Theory, Communication and Media Studies at the Aracne Publisher, and editor-in-chief of the Journal “Origine”. He published a systemic theory of media in two volumes, Teoria sistemica dei media. Luhmann e la comunicazione, Vol. I e Vol. II. La mosca e la ragnatela, la soggettività nel sistema della rete, and the book Aliene. Il femminile, la tecnica, la fantascienza on sociology of techno-scientific imaginary, as well as several articles and essays in national and international journals, and an handbook Manuale di scrittura per la comunicazione (e-mail m.infante@unilink.it).
