Consuelo Flecha García is Full Professor at the University of Sevilla. She gained her PhD from the Complutense University in Madrid. She is a known international specialist in the area of women studies, especially with regard to their Access to higher education and processes of professionalization. She has published more than 200 articles, books, and book chapters about these issues. She received the CEU Fernando II prize for educational innovation, the Meridiana prize on behalf of the Junta de Extremadura and the gold medal on behalf of the city of Sevilla for fomenting gender equality.
