Maria Chiara Di Gangi holds a PhD in Comparative Law from the University of Palermo. She is a Lawyer, and a Mediator accredited to the Italian Ministry of Justice, and has published numerous essays on the various methods of Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR). She conducted a research for the Italian Ministry for Equal Opportunities on the identification, the analysis and the transfer of the best practices in national and international mediation for LGBT discrimination in the four “Regioni Obiettivo Convergenza”. Among her articles: “La mediazione familiare in Italia, quale metodo alternativo di gestione del conflitto” (Coppola 2011), “I metodi alternativi di soluzione delle controversie in Inghilterra ed in Italia” (Coppola 2011), “La mediazione penale in Italia. Uno strumento alternativo di soluzione del conflitto nella prospettiva comparatistica” (Coppola 2011). She is the author of Chapter 12 “Mediazione e Conciliazione” (in DisOrientamenti, Armando 2011).
