Irene Dioli holds a MA in Eastern European Studies from the University of Bologna, and is a journalist, translator, and researcher for Osservatorio Balcani Caucaso (Rovereto, Italy – www.balcanicaucaso.org). She is a PhD student in Diversity Management and Governance at the University of Bologna, Italy. Current fields of interest include discourses on labour and unions, marginality and critical theory. She has published essays and chapters on film industry and queer culture in former Yugoslavia.
