Giacomo Prando studied Physics at the University of Pavia, Italy. He was pupil of Collegio Ghislieri and he graduated at Istituto Universitario degli Studi Superiori. In 2008, he got a Ph.D. grant from Consorzio Nazionale Interuniversitario per le Scienze fisiche della Materia. In 2011, he was awarded the “Augusto Righi” prize by Società Italiana di Fisica. He is working in Dresden, Germany, as Post–Doc Research Fellow of Leibniz-DAAD and, from July 2013, of Alexander von Humboldt Stiftung.
