Shara Monteleone

Shara Monteleone is a Scientific Officer at the Institute for Prospective Technological Studies of the European Commission's Joint Research Centre. She graduated in Law from the University of Florence and, after earning an MRes in ICT Law, she completed a PhD in Law and Information Technologies from the Media Integration and Communication Centre at the University of Florence. She also holds an MRes in Comparative, European, and International Law from the European University Institute. She has worked as post-doctoral researcher at INRIA (France), involved in studies on privacy and ambient intelligence. Her research interests include the role of new technologies in the protection of fundamental rights, with a focus on privacy, data protection, and electronic identity.
