Pietro Vittorio Curzi is a marine geologist. His interest is in scientific, methodological and applied aspects of Marine Geology. He was researcher of Marine Geology Institute, now ISMAR, of C.N.R. Bologna, from 1974 to 1987; professor of General Geology and Marine Geology, University of Ancona, from 1987 to 1997, and since 1997, professor of Geology and geologic subjects at the University of Bologna (DICAM).
