Dr. Kelvin is a senior scientist at the University Health Network, in the Division of Experimental Therapeutics at the Toronto General Research Institute within the UHN. He is also the Director of the Division of Immunology at the International Institute of Infection and Immunity in Shantou, China, an internationally-based collaboration between the University Health Network, Shantou Medical College, Shantou University and the University of Hong Kong.
Dr. Kelvin now leads a multidisciplinary immunogenomics team at the University Health Network in Toronto and Shantou Medical College in China that currently focuses on host immunity of emerging and established infectious diseases including SARS, avian influenza (H5N1), West Nile Virus infection and HIV and pandemic and seasonal influenza.
Dr. Kelvin’s publication record reflects the high productivity of his group with over 100 publications published with many in top tier journals, such as Nature Medicine, Nature Immunology and Science. Dr. Kelvin’s group is currently developing therapeutics for managing ARDS like disease caused by viral infections.
