María Elena Jaime de Pablos is senior lecturer in English Literature at the University of Almería. She is in charge of the subjects related to Post-colonial literature and she also teaches in the doctorate course “Myth and Reality in Contemporary Irish Narrative”. María Elena Jaime de Pablos wrote her Ph.D. dissertation on George Moore’s narrative. She is the author of the works La visión de la mujer irlandesa de finales del siglo XIX y principios del siglo XX en la narrativa de George Moore: una perspectiva feminista (The View of the Irish Woman at the End of the 19th Century and Beginning of the 20th Century in George Moore’s Narrative: A Feminist Perspective), and Mujeres y religión en la narrativa de George Moore (Women and Religion in George Moore’s Narrative), and the editor of the forthcoming volume Análisis de género en los estudios irlandeses (Gender Analysis in Irish Studies). She is also the co-editor of the books Nuevas perspectivas críticas en los estudios de literatura irlandesa (New Critical Perspectives on Irish Literature Studies), and Irish Landscapes. Her fields of research are contemporary Irish literature and feminist literary criticism, with special emphasis on ecocriticism.
