Annette Rathje is associate professor emerita at University of Copenhagen. Magister artium in Classical Archaeology at the University of Copenaghen (1972), vicedirector at the Danish Institute in Rome (1978–1984), as assistent professor, teaching at the Institute of Classical Archaeology, University of Copenhagen (1986–87), associated professor of Classical Archaeology at the University of Copenhagen (1988–2013), boardmember of The Danish Institute at Athens (1992–2013), advisory board member of the journals «Ancient West and East» (Brill Leiden, Boston, Köln), «Mediterranea» (Pisa & Rome), «Aristhonotos» (Milano) and «Officina» (Rome). Advisory board member of The Etruscan Foundation. Her fields of research are etruscan archaeology, interaction in the Mediterranean 8th–6th centuries BC, the Iron Age of Central Italy.
