Lucia Franchi graduated in Humanities and Archaeology at the Rome University “La Sapienza” and obtained her MA diploma in Library and Information Science by the Vatican Library. Her PhD studies were conducted at Scuola Normale Superiore of Pisa. She has collaborated to research projects sponsored by national and international institutions. Her publications focus on classical traditions and reception of antiquity, heritage studies, history of arts and architecture. For the Thesaurus Project, she has studied the post-antique shipwrecks.
