Yasuhito Kaminaga received his B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees, both in Physics, from Tokyo Institute of Technology. He then moved to Kyoto University where He earned his doctorate, under the supervision of Professor Huzihiro Araki, in Mathematical Analysis (Mathematical Physics) in 1989. In 1997, He joined the faculty of National Institute of Technology, Gunma College, where He is now Professor of Mathematics. He is a Majorana Prize Laureate in 2012. He was a visiting researcher at the University of Edinburgh (2016-2017).
