José Ramón Ruiz-Checa is architect and civil engineer (UPV University, 1999) associate professor (PhD. 2012) at Faculty of Architecture, of Polytechnic University of Valencia-Spain, where he has been working since 2007. Actually he teaches construction and patrimonial managing both in graduate and postgraduate courses, also online (MSc. Architecture 2006, MSc. Pedagogy 2009). He has extensively published papers and texts on architectural conservation and construction materials, and he has joined several studies, projects and interventions for the preservation of monuments, historical and vernacular architecture in Spain.
