Yves Simoens is a Jesuit and ordained priest. He holds a Doctorate in Biblical Exegesis from the Biblical Institute in Rome. In addition to his many years of teaching at the institut d’Etudes Théologiques in Brussels, Belgium he has also been a Professor at the Centre Sèvres (Facultés jésuites de Paris). Currently Father Simoens is Professor Emeritus at the Biblical Institute in Rome where he specialises on the studies in the Gospel of John, to which he has devoted many scholarly articles.
