Antonella D’Orazio received the laurea degree in Electrical Engineering, summa cum laude, from the University of Bari in 1983 and the Ph.D. degree in Electromagnetisms in 1987. In 1990 she became Assistant Professor and in 1998 Associate Professor. Presently she is full professor of Electromagnetic Fields at Politecnico di Bari She is member of the Managing Committee of CNIT (National Inter-University Consortium for Telecommunications), Pisa-Italy. She acts as Reviewer of international journals and she is member of technical committees of international and national conferences. Her research interests include linear and nonlinear guided optic propagation, modeling and numerical methods for the design of linear and nonlinear integrated optic devices, fabrication and optical characterization of devices made by Ti:LiNbO3 and ion-exchanged waveguides, modeling, fabrication and characterization of photonic crystal devices, metamaterials and plasmonic structures. She has co-authored over 300 publications, 250 of which published on journals and international conferences, lectures and invited papers.She is member of IEEE (The Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers), OSA (Optical Society of America), AEIT (Federazione Italiana di Elettrotecnica, Elettronica, Automazione, Informatica e Telecomunicazioni), S.I.Em (Società Italiana di Elettromagnetismo), SIOF (Società Italiana di Ottica e Fotonica, Italian Branch of the European Optical Society).
