Luca Simone Rizzo holds a Ph.D. in Network Economy and Knowledge Management and in 2014 has been appointed in the national qualification for associate professor in Geography. As research fellow and contracted researcher he has joined Italian and foreign Universities as well a research centres carrying out research in the field of Economic Geography, Cultural/Tourism-related Geography and Environmental Geography. He has taught university courses and seminars mostly at graduate level in Italy and abroad, and published extensively. He worked as a Policy Officer at DG Research and Technological Development (European Commission), under the Socio-economic Sciences and Humanities Programm.
