Dr Karin de Boer was appointed Professor of the History of Modern Philosophy (especially metaphysics) at the Institute of Philosophy of the University of Leuven (Belgium). She will assume the chair as of 1 October 2011. After her studies at the University of Amsterdam (UvA) and the University of Leuven (KU Leuven), she was award her doctor's degree at the Vrije Universiteit (VU) in Amsterdam. She became lecturer at our Faculty in 2002. Her publications focus mainly on the continental tradition in philosophy.
