Vlad Cojocaru

Dr. Vlad Cojocaru is a Senior Researcher at the Department of Toponymy, the “A. Philippide” Institute of Romanian Philology – the Iasi Branch of the Romanian Academy, Romania. Areas of competence: toponymy, toponymic lexicography, history of the Romanian language, linguistic interferences – onomastic interferences, the science of Romance onomastics, Slavic linguistics, general linguistics. Publications: Toponimia văii mijlocii a Trotuşului. Dinamica structurilor toponimice [Toponymy of the Middle Valley of the River Trotuş. Dynamics of the Toponymic Structures], Iaşi, Casa Demiurg, 2005; co-author of the first 3 parts of the series Tezaurul toponimic al României. Moldova [Toponymic Thesaurus of Romania.
