Mohammad Hoque
Mohammad Hoque is a Research Associate in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Imperial College London since January 2013. He received his PhD in Hydrogeology from the University College London in 2010.
His PhD was followed by a post-doctoral research on geochemistry of groundwater arsenic at the same institution.
The main focus of his research has been aquifer geology, groundwater contamination, and impact of environmental changes on water resources. He is currently working on impact of climate change and salinisation of coastal drinking water.
He is also interested in the link between hydrology and human health, and investigating the nutritional value to drinking water and how some elements present in drinking water sources couple or decouple the toxicity of contaminants present in it.Before moving to the UK he was engaged in teaching and research in Bangladesh for some years.
