Elza Ibroscheva is professor and chair of the Department of Mass Communications at the Southern Illinois University Edwardsville. Originally from Bulgaria, her research interests focus on media developments in Eastern Europe, include media stereotypes, international and political communication, gender representations and media and nationalism. She has published over 30 peer–reviewed articles and book chapters and is the author of Advertising, Sex and Post–Socialism: Women, Media and Femininity in the Balkans.
