Cheryl Campanella Bracken (PhD; Temple University, 2000) is a professor in the School of Communication at Cleveland State University. She is a co-editor of the book Immersed in Media: Telepresence in Everyday Life and a co-author of the forthcoming Communication Research Methodology: A Strategic Approach to Applied Research. Her general research area is the psychological processing of media. She conducts experiments that explore viewer's perceptions of the media viewing experience. Dr. Bracken also evaluates viewers' physiological reactions to media form and content. Her work has been published in journals including: «Journal of Broadcasting and Electronic Media», «PsychNogy», «Media Psychology», and «Journal of Communication».
