Dr. Iolanda Sterpu is an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Letters (Department of Romanian Language and Literature, Comparative Literature and Journalism) of the “Alexandru Ioan Cuza” University of Iasi, Romania, where she teaches Romanian culture and civilization and Romanian as a foreign language (intensive courses). She also taught Romanian in France, at the University Toulouse II – Le Mirail (2001−2003) and at the “Jean Monnet” University of Saint-Etienne (2005−2009). Areas of competence: applied linguistics; stylistics; teaching Romanian as a foreign language (theory and practice); teaching Romanian culture and civilization.
