Olimpia Lombardi is Electronic Engineer and PhD. in Philosophy, University of Buenos Aires. She is Principal Researcher of the National Council for Scientific and Technical Research (CONICET) and Professor at the University of Buenos Aires. Her area of interest is the philosophy of physics and of chemistry. In this area she has published five books in collaboration and more than 170 papers, many of them in the best international journals of the area, for which she also systematically collaborates as reviewer. She is member of the scientific committee of the International Society for the Philosophy of Chemistry. She was awarded with a Large Grant of the Foundational Questions Institute. At present she leads a group of philosophy of particular sciences (physics, chemistry and biology) at the University of Buenos Aires.
