Maria–Yolanda Gomez–Sanchez is Professor of Constitutional Law at the LUM “Jean Monnet” university.
She is director of the research group “Innovation, Research and Law-IIDEFU” (Ref. G156S35), since 2010. Member of the Bioethics Committee of Spain (2008–2012) of the Ministry of Science and Innovation; member of the International Bioethics Committee of the UNESCO (2004–2008); external assessor of the Ethic Advisory Committee of the Scientific Research Council of the Fecyt, Science and Technology Ministry of the Spain (2004); external–assessor of the Agència de Gestió d’Ajuts Universitaris i de Recerca (AGAUR) of the Generalitat de Catalunya, Catalonia, Spain, (2005–2006).
As for public and private association, she is member of Association of Women Scientists, since 2009; general coordinator of the PhD Programme on European Union of National Distance Education University (UNED), since 2012; member of the Local Studies Foundation (since 2000); member of the Gender Studies Research Institute, UNED (since 2001).
She is also vice–director of the Revista de Derecho Político (Political Law Review), since 2010; member of the Advisory Council of the European Constitutional Law Review, since 2005; and member of the Advisory Council of the Data Protection Spanish Review and of the Advisory Council of the Human Rights Review, since 2007.
