Mustapha Lahyane got his Ph.D. degree in Mathematics at “Laboratoire de Jean-Alexandre Dieudonné”UMR n° 7351 CNRSof the University of Nice - Sophia Antipolis in December 1998 with honors Très Honorable. He did his thesis under thesupervision of Prof. Gang Xiao who were a member of the Team of Prof. André Hirschowitz.His main research interests are Algebraic Geometry, Commutative Algebra, Combinatorics and Coding Theory.Special interests are given to the geometry of rational surfaces which are defined over a fixed algebraically closed fieldof arbitrary characteristic.
