Juan Bosco Frías-Medina obtained his B.Sc. degree in Mathematics with the highest honors at the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Colima in 2010, and his M.Sc. degree in Mathematics with the highest honors at the Graduate Program of National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) and University of Michoacán (UMSNH) in 2012. He is expecting obtain his Ph.D. degree in Mathematics at the Graduate Program of UNAM and UMSNH on September 2016. His research interests are algebraic geometry, commutative algebra, combinatorics and coding theory, especially the geometry of rational varieties over a fixed field (not necessary algebraically closed).
