Luis Cortés Meseguer was born in Sueca (Valencia) 1977. Graduates in 2002 as Building Engineer, in 2008 as an architect and in 2014 obtains his PhD, with Dissertation Construction Project of neoclassical Valencia’s Cathedral.
University Polytechnic of Valencia (Spain) Associate Professor since 2010, teaching History of Construction in the Engineering Building School. He’s also taught in several masters’ degrees and seminars as well as long stays as teacher/researcher.
He’s also been part of exhibitions and publications in the field of architectural conservation and restoration such as: Construction between Renaisance and 19th Century, Heritage restoration campaign, the light of the images, Lux Mundi, Monumental heritage 2. Recent Interventions, The Provincial Council of Valencia: Fifteen years of intervention in the historical heritage or Spanish architectural heritage in USA. The case of San Martín of Fuentidueña (Segovia).
As architect and building engineer he has also has realized numerous restoration and new buildings, and has been involved in the restoration of Cultural Interest and other, highlighting Alaquàs Castle, Xàtiva’s church and various architectural interventions in the area of Dalt Vila d' Eivissa (Balearic Islands), UNESCO - World Heritage.
