Dorthe Jørgensen is Professor of Philosophy and the History of Ideas at Aarhus University in Denmark. Besides having a PhD in History of Ideas (1995), she has a Higher Doctorate in Philosophy (2006) and another Higher Doctorate in Theology (2014). She studied and worked as a Research Fellow at Aarhus University, Freie Universität Berlin, Columbia University, and the Danish Institutes in Rome and Damascus.
