Sono nata a Sinalunga, in provincia di Siena, il 17 maggio 1985. Dopo infinite peripezie geografiche e un corso di studi in medicina messo prematuramente da parte, approdo alla facoltà di Lettere e Filosofia di Siena. Mi iscrivo al corso di laurea in “Lingue, letterature e culture straniere” laureandomi nel 2010 in inglese e russo.
Scrivo una tesi che ha come oggetto la “comparazione” tra due traduzioni italiane di uno stesso testo in inglese. La passione viscerale per la traduzione nasce così, un po’ in sordina...
Al momento frequento, sempre presso l’Università di Siena, un master in traduzione ed editing di testi letterari.Ho cuore e cervello equamente divisi tra italiano e inglese, ma lascio sempre uno spazio, in questo flusso infinito, per l'uomo che amo.
I was born in Sinalunga, in the Siena province, May the 17th 1985. After countless geographic adventures and a course of studies in medicine prematurely put aside, I end up in Siena at the faculty of Lettere and Filosofia. There I enrol in “Foreign languages, literatures and cultures” graduating in English and Russian. My graduation thesis is about the “comparison” of two different Italian translations of the same English source text. My deep passion for translation came up this way, almost by chance...
I am currently attending a Master in translation and editing of literary texts at the Siena University.
My heart and brains are equally shared between Italian and English, but I always save some room for the man I love.
