José Ramón Prado is Senior Lecturer in English Literature in the Department of English Studies, Universitat Jaume I de Castelló. He specialises in British contemporary theatre with an emphasis on post-war political drama.
His research interests include: popular culture and literature; film adaptations of Shakespeare’s plays; and British contemporary metafiction.
He has published articles on British political theatre, including playwrights Caryl Churchill and Pam Gems, as well as on British postmodern fiction. He is the founder and editor in chief of the Cultural Studies academic journal, *Culture, Language and Representation*, ISSN: 1697-7750, published by Universitat Jaume I. He is a member of the research group Ethical issues in contemporary British theatre since 1989: globalization, theatricality, spectatorship, a three year research project funded by the Spanish Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness (FFI2012-31842).
