Limas Sutanto
Born in Yogyakarta, on December 4, 1957. Graduated as a medical doctor at the Faculty of Medicine, Gadjah Mada University, Yogyakarta. He received the honor as the best graduate from the faculty in 1979 and 1980.
Graduated as a psychiatrist at the Faculty of Medicine, Airlangga University, Surabaya, at November 18, 1994.
In 2005, after completing his thesis entitled “The Theory of Peace Counseling and Psychotherapy”, he was graduated as a master of counseling at the State University of Malang Postgraduate School (GPA=4.00). He received the honor as the best master graduate from the university. In that year, he also received an acknowledgement as a psychotherapy consultant from the Indonesian Collegium of Psychiatry.
In 2007, under the supervision of Prof. Dr. T. Raka Joni, M.Sc., Dr. Marthen Pali, M.Psi., and Prof. Dr. dr. D. Bachtiar Lubis, Sp.K.J.(K.), he completed his doctorate dissertation entitled “The Efficacy of Peace Therapy: A Randomized Controlled “Trial at the State University of Malang Postgraduate School (GPA=3.97). He received the honor as the best doctorate graduate from the university.
He has been a lecturer of psychotherapy at the psychology program of the Faculty of Educational Studies, the State University of Malang, and a lecturer of counseling at the State University of Malang Postgraduate School.
At the 5th Congress of the Asia Pacific Association of Psychotherapists in April 2008, he was appointed as the Vice President of the Asia Pacific Association of Psychotherapists.
Since 2008 he has been a peer reviewer of the psychology journal Psikobuana, Jakarta.
