Clémence Imbert
Clémence Imbert studied at the École Normale Supérieure in Lyon, and is a teaching fellow in French language and literature. In 2010, she did a placement in the archive department of the Bibliothèque Kandinsky at the Pompidou Centre, where she was put in charge of drawing up an inventory of the recently acquired Guy de Cointet Collection. Through this work, she discovered the existence of fields of research relating to graphic design, and decided to prolong her studies with a dissertation for a Masters in Visual Arts (2011-2012), followed by a doctoral thesis in Aesthetics, Science and the Technology of the Arts (begun in 2012) at the University of Paris 8. In parallel with this, Clémence Imbert taught the history of modern art, museum studies and the history of graphic design at Paris 8 from 2013 to 2015, and at Parsons Paris from 2015 to 2016 as part of the Masters in the History of Design and Curatorial Studies.
