Maurizio Isabella studied at the Universities of Milan and Cambridge, where obtained a doctorate in 2000. He has taught at Birkbeck College and Queen Mary College. He has held fellowships at CRASSH (2004), Birkbeck (2005), Princeton (2006) and the Center For European Studies at Harvard (2013).
