Tommaso Carofiglio was born in Verona (Italy) on July, 8th 1960. He received his Laurea degree in Chemistry at the University of Padua (Italy) under the supervision of Professor G. Paiaro with a thesis entitled On the Polymers of Carbon Suboxide (Marks: 110/110 with honours). He received his Ph.D. degree at the University of Lausanne (Switzerland) under the direction of Professor C. Floriani with a thesis entitled: From Using Titanium Tetrachloride to Modeling Titanium Dioxide.
From June 1991 to September 2012 he was Research Associate at the Department of Chemical Sciences, University of Padua (Italy). He spent year 1995 at the University of Princeton (New Jersey, USA) in the laboratories of Professor J. T. Groves. Since October 2012 he is Associate Professor of Organic Chemistry
