Drd. Anca M. Sapovici is a research fellow at the Department of Romanian Standard Language and Philology of the Iorgu Iodan – Al. Rosetti Institute of Linguistics of the Romanian Academy. Areas of competence and interest: Romanian and Byzantine and post-Byzantine philology, sociolinguistics, etymology, history of the language, Old Romanian literature. Currently involved in the project Romanian Ceremonial Literature (17th – 18th Centuries). Texts and Terminologies; she is also preparing a PhD thesis about the life and original writings of the Greek-origin Metropolitan Matthew of Myra.
