Sven Zenker is an anesthesiologist with additional training in physics and mathematics and a strong background in medical informatics. Aside from his research interests, which he, among other things, pursues in building this lab, he has administrative responsibilities as the clinical project lead for the university hospital wide AIMS and PDMS projects, as well as organizing and coordinating national and international perioperative data collection and analysis efforts.
He is executive board member of the Society for Complex Acute Illness and past scientific committee chair and organizer of the International Conference on Complexity in Acute Illness. Her is editorial board member of the Journal of Clinical Monitoring and Computing (Springer) and reviewer for various journals and funding agencies.
