Paolo Dolcet is currently a postdoc fellow in the workgroup of Dr. Silvia Gross. His field of research concerns the synthesis and characterisation of crystalline inorganic nanostructures (oxides, sulphides, halides) through colloidal methodologies, with a particular focus on miniemulsion and hydrothermal techniques.
Born in Pieve di Cadore in 1985, Paolo Dolcet studied chemistry at the University of Padova, where he obtained both his bachelor (2007; mark: 106/110) and master degree (2010; mark: 110/110). In 2010 he enrolled in the Ph.D. School of Molecular Sciences in Padova, under the supervision of Prof. Maurizio Casarin, during which he worked at Max Planck Institut für Polymerforschung (Mainz, DE) in the workgroup of Prof. Dr. Katharina Landfester; achieving his Ph.D. in 2014.He has authored 16 papers in international peer-reviewed ISI journals and presented his work at 11 conferences (8 oral presentation, 4 poster presentations).
