Robert Hoepel
Robert Hoepel is a dispute resolution lawyer in AKD’s Transport & Energy team based in Rotterdam. AKD is a full service law firm with a strong shipping and insurance practice. Robert joined the team in 2009 and specializes in all areas of marine/energy insurance and shipping disputes. Robert acts for ship owners and their insurers, both H&M and P&I, in relation to collision, salvage and shipbuilding. During his time at AKD, Robert has been seconded to an insurance company on the London market where he joined the H&M claims team. Robert is editor of maritime and insurance law report Schip & Schade. Robert Hoepel serves on the CMI’s Cybercrime in Shipping IWG and is Rapporteur of theYoung CMI Standing Committee.
